Ballantine’s 7 Bourbon Cask Finish, dünyanın en çok satan harmanlarından biri olan Ballantine’s markasının geleneksel meşe fıçılarda 7 yıl olgunlaştırdıktan sonra, Bourbon fıçılarda bitiş (finish) vererek %40 alkol derecesiyle şişelediği ekspresyonu. Baş harmancı Sandy Hyslop tarafından yaratılan ekspresyon 2020 Eylül ayında tanıtıldı ve markanın ana portföyündeki yerini aldı.

Ballantine’s 7 Bourbon Cask Finish (İskoç Harman, %40 abv)

Nose: Vanilla, toffee, honey, oak notes are followed by fruity scents such as apricot, apple and light grape. Soft and sweet.

Palate: As in the nose, vanilla, toffee, honey, oak flavors are evident. It is also possible to get very light coconut flavors. I can say that it is creamy and full-bodied. The primary flavors are followed by apricot, apple and grape. Towards the end, vanilla becomes more pronounced, while warm flavors such as cinnamon and white pepper are also felt. Pretty easy to drink.

Finish: Medium length finish with vanilla, cinnamon, dried fruit.

Comment: I can say that Ballantine's 7 Bourbon Cask Finish is an easy-drinking and well-balanced whiskey with a pronounced vanilla and fruit character. Especially the creaminess on the palate is quite successful for a whiskey in this category. A nice price/performance blend for whiskey lovers.
