I told about Scotland's whiskey regions and distilleries. “All About Scotch Whiskeys” .
Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 (Scottish Single Malt, 43% abv)
Nose: Vanilla, apple, grape, passion fruit, banana, pineapple… I can say that I smell a different fruit with every sniff. Quite sweet and fruity. These aromas are accompanied by honey, almond and oak. The influence of rum barrels is evident. Balanced and delicious.
Palate: It is as sweet on the palate as it is on the nose. Caramel, vanilla, raisins, honey and orange… Additionally cinnamon, brown sugar, oak and almond. I can say that it has a creamy and very soft texture. It almost feels like you are drinking a liquor. It has been said that there are different tasting notes and slightly sooty flavors, but frankly, I did not get much.
Finish: Medium length with oak, vanilla, raisin flavors.
Comment: In general, I can say that Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 is a sweet, soft and pleasant whiskey. I liked the rich fruity scents on the nose and the creaminess on the palate. A very easy drinking and aromatic expression.
