Scotland's Speyside standard expression of the Benromach distillery located in Benromach 10, 9 yıl eski bourbon ve şeri fıçılardan olgunlaştırıldıktan sonra 1 yıl süreyle ilk dolum Oloroso şeri fıçılarından evlendiriliyor. %43 alkol seviyesi ile şişelenen Benromach 10’un üretiminde 12-14 PPM seviyesinde Highland turbası ile maltlanmış arpa kullanılıyor.
Let me also mention that Benromach supplies sherry barrels from Bodegas Williams & Humbert and Bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill and Jim Beam.
Benromach 10 (Scottish Single Malt, 43% abv)
Nose: A very fresh and sweet nose. Dry fruit and caramel notes are accompanied by a delicious sooty scent. It is also possible to smell vanilla, oak and freshly cut grass.
Palate: Spices and dried fruit flavors are in the foreground. Dried figs and citrus, plus vanilla and some black pepper. Compared to the nose, soot is felt less on the palate.
Finish: Medium length, spicy, dry and slightly fruity.
Comment: Benromach 10, which I find very tasty and satisfying on the nose, is an expression that I find successful in general, although it disappointed me a little with its intense spicy structure on the palate.
