Bulleit Rye (Rye Whiskey, 45% abv)
Nose: Notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, cinnamon and dried fruit. These are accompanied by light glue, menthol, bitters and tobacco. Hot, sweet and spicy.
Palate: First of all, it feels like a sweet burning sensation. This burn is followed by cinnamon, caramel and vanilla. With the airing of the glass, the aromas of honey, chocolate and mint become clear.
Finish: It's medium to long in length. Oak and cinnamon are prominent. It leaves a sweet and warm feeling on the palate.
Comment: Bulleit Rye is one of my first rye whiskeys. Bulleit Rye is a very enjoyable rye whiskey with its sweet-spice balance and its finish that creates the feeling of drinking whiskey. Bulleit Rye is very suitable for drinking dry, slightly cool or with ice. I should also mention that this expression suits cocktails very well.
