Caperdonich 18, Chivas Brothers released in 2020 The Secret Speyside Collection 18-year sooty (Peated) member of the series. Expression, which was aged in American oak barrels for 18 years and bottled with grade, also draws attention as one of the rarest members of the series.

Established in 1898, the Caperdonich distillery closed its doors in 2002 and was completely demolished in 2010. He left a very limited number of barrels behind. Here, Caperdonich 18 comes out of these very limited casks and really does justice to the word "rare".

located on the bottle “Once gone, there will be never another” The phrase (there will be no more when it is consumed) sums up this particular detail about the expression very well.

Caperdonich 18 (Scottish Single Malt, 48% abv)

Nose: The sooty character comes to the fore with the first sniff. Burnt oak, leather, cedar and old wood scents are accompanied by brown sugar, toffee and light fruity scents. As the glass rises, the sweet character becomes a little more pronounced. It is quite balanced, aromatic and filling.

Palate: Peat effect is evident on the palate as well as on the nose. Burnt and smoked flavors are accompanied by brown sugar, toffee, ginger and light black pepper. I also had light fruity flavors that I can describe as apple and pear. Full and round.

Finish: A long burnt finish with soot, ginger and brown sugar.

Overall: A rich, full and aromatic expression that offers a successful balance of sooty, spicy and sweet aromas.
