Dalmunach 6 Year Old Wulver is a Speyside Single Malt that has been matured in American oak barrels and bottled at 60% abv. Exclusively bottled for The Whisky Exchange, Dalmunach 6 Year Old Wulver is the first bottling from the distillery to be available outside the distillery. It’s also the first bottle of the inaugural release in the Scottish Mythical Creatures series. The series will consist of three bottles, all get inspiration from the legendary beasts of the Scottish Highlands.

Dalmunach 6 Year Old Wulver Exclusive to The Whisky Exchange (Single Malt Scotch, 60% abv)

Nose: Starts with fresh fruits such as red apples, peach and white grapes. Followed by toasted nuts, vanilla and barley. With a few drop of water it opens up and notes of chocolate and cookie appears.

Palate: Again starts quite sweet with citrus, pears and apricots, then quickly heats up with spices. Then citrus and toasted nuts. A few drops of water definitely helps. Vanilla and honey.

Finish: A medium-long finish with pears, citrus, and spices.

Final Comments: An interesting and strong debut from Dalmunach. It’s one of the whiskies that needs a few drops of water to appreciate it’s complexity. Dalmunach 6 Year Old Wulver offers rich fresh fruity Speyside notes, as well as nutty and spices flavours.

Burun: İlk koklamayla kırmızı elma, şeftali ve üzüm gibi taze meyvemsi kokuları. Hemen arkasından kavruk fındık, vanilya ve arpa kokuları. Birkaç damla su ile burun açılıyor, ve çikolata ve kurabiye gibi dolgun notalar açığa çıkıyor.

Damak: Burunda olduğu gibi damakta da meyvemsi başlıyor. Citrus, armut, şeftali sonrasında hızla artan baharatlı notalar alıyoruz. Su damakta da viski açıyor ve vanilya, bal gibi aromalar belirginleşiyor.

Bitiş: Armut, citrus ve tarçın ile orta-uzun bir bitiş.

Genel Yorumlarım: Dalmunach’tan ilginç ve oldukça güçlü bir siftah… Dalmunach 6 Year Old Wulver, aromalarını tam anlamıyla takdir edebilmek için birkaç damla su mutlaka gereken viskilerden. Speyside’ın taze meyvemsi karakteriyle hafif baharatlı ve fındıksı tatlar sunan keyifli bir viski.
