Dalwhinnie 15 (Scottish Single Malt, 43% abv)
Nose: A very fresh and aromatic nose. The first notable notes are apple, honey, caramel and vanilla. In addition, a small amount of chocolatey notes are felt in the back, which I love very much. It signals that there will be a creamy whiskey on the palate.
Palate: Apple, honey and vanilla are in the foreground. In addition to these, it is also spiced and very light. Dalwhinnie 15 has a very creamy and smooth drink.
Finish: Medium length, fruit and honey flavors are palpable, although significantly reduced on the palate. Spices and nuts are in the foreground.
Overall: Dalwhinnie 15 is a satisfying expression every step of the way from nose to finish. With its elegant, soft and aromatic structure, it is among the single malts I consume with pleasure. I can say that Dalwhinnie 15 is also successful in terms of price / performance.
