of the brand Extra Matured Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or is the famous wine of France after being matured in Bourbon barrels. Sauternes an additional "finish" is made by taking them into their barrels. It should be noted that Sauternes wines are bodied, intense character and a very high quality white wine type and contain a lot of sediment in their barrels.

On the old bottling of Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or, we saw the phrase 12 years. While 10 of 12 years were spent in Bourbon barrels, 2 years were spent in Sauternes barrels. We see that the 12-year term has been removed from the new bottlings and the expression is offered for sale as Nas (without the year mark). Accordingly, we do not know the exact time elapsed from Bourbon and Sauternes barrels.

Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or (Scottish Single Malt, abv)

Nose: She has a very rich, elegant and sweet profile. Citrus, lime and tropical fruits are in the foreground. These are followed by notes of grape, almond, dried fruit and oak. The Sauternes character shows itself very clearly.

Palate: Apple, lemon, almond and ginger are my first flavors. The full-bodied and rich character is immediately felt. There is a delicious sweetness given by the aromas of caramel, white chocolate and dried fruit.

It's mouth-watering like a white wine with high acidity.

Finish: A long, delicious finish with aromas of apple, vanilla, chocolate and ginger.

Comment: Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or, Other expressions of the Extra Matured series I had tasted it together, so I had the opportunity to make a good comparison. I can say that Nectar D'Or is by far my favorite expression in this series.

Nectar D'Or is an elegant whiskey with a strong character, offering a taste of great richness. It is an expression that especially white wine lovers can enjoy very much.
