Created by Booker Noe, one of the legendary names of American whiskey, in 1992, Knob Creek is one of the “Small Batch” (boutique) brands in the Jim Beam portfolio (Other members of the series: Booker's, Basil Hayden, Baker's)

Containing 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley in its grain recipe (Mash-bill), Knob Creek Kentucky Straight Bourbon draws attention with its long maturation time (note the "patiently aged" phrase on the bottle) and high alcohol level () compared to standard Bourbons.

NoseThe alcohol level of is evident with the first smell. With a little airing of the glass, the scents of caramel, vanilla, maple syrup, cinnamon and brown sugar are accompanied by the scents of roasted oak and pine.

Palate: Distinctive sweet flavors such as caramel, brown sugar and vanilla are accompanied by black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, bitter and burnt oak. I can say that it is much more spicy on the palate compared to the nose.

Finish: A long and dry finish with caramel, oak, black pepper and roasted flavors.

Overall: A strong Bourbon with distinct flavors of caramel, vanilla, roasted oak and spicy.
