Nikka Days (Japanese Blended, 40% abv)
Nose: Fruity notes such as apple, pear, orange, lemon and melon are followed by fresh floral scents, oak, caramel and honey. It is quite subtle and fresh.
Palate: Similar with the nose, it's quite soft and sweet on the palate. The aromas of apple, vanilla, malt, honey and chocolate are followed by sweet spices and hint of charred oak. Quite soft, creamy.
Finish: A short finish with vanilla, brown sugar and cinnamon.
My Comments: With its soft and fruity character and creamy texture on the palate, Nikka Days is among the Japanese blends that I enjoy with pleasure. It's one of the whiskeys I included in my Japanese whisky trainings in London and it is usually find delicious by the new whisky enthusiasts. One of the rare successful Japanese whiskies in terms of price-performance.
