The 4th release of the limited Christmas Edition series from the award-winning Paul John. Launched in 2018, the Christmas series is a series that offers "Christmassy" flavours with its different cask details. 2022 Edition has been initially matured in ex-bourbon casks for 4.5 years and finished in Vintage Port and Madeira casks for 2 years.

Paul John Christmas Edition 2021 (Indian Single Malt, 46% abv)
Nose: Quite sweet with grape, orange, apricot, caramel, chocolate, honey and brown sugar notes. Followed by clove, cinnamon, hazelnut, leather and slightly sweet tobacco. As someone who consumes a lot of mulled wine during the New Year period, I can say that it reminds me of mulled wine, especially with the scents of cloves and oranges.
Palate: Orange, grape and slightly tropical flavors are accompanied by caramel, chocolate, honey, malt and brown sugar. I can say that there is an increasing temperature on the palate. It has a warm and dry character with cloves, cinnamon, white pepper and roasted hazelnuts. Leather and slightly burnt flavors accompany you throughout the drink. Quite creamy and full.
Finish: A long finish with cinnamon, clove, caramel and leather.
Comment: Paul John Christmas Edition 2021 is a bottle that truly brings the spirit of Christmas. An extremely rich and layered expression on both the nose and palate. It is an ideal choice for those who like different sweet cask finishes and warm whiskies with spice character.
