The Irishman is a brand released by Walsh Whiskey Distillery in 2007. The founders of the brand, Bernard and Rosemary Walsh, first started out as a liquor company. They were producing Irish Coffee with Hot Irishman Limited, which they established in 1999. In the following years, they decided to enter the whiskey business by taking advantage of the rebirth of Irish whiskey.

The Irishman Founder's Reserve (Irish Blend, 40% abv)
Nose: It has a very soft, fresh and sweet appearance with the scents of apple candy, pear, vanilla, caramel and light pepper. With the raising of the glass, he takes on a somewhat young and sharp character.
Palate: Quite sweet and smooth. Flavors such as cotton candy, honey, apple, fig, vanilla are accompanied by spicy and slightly peppery aromas. Grain character is more dominant compared to nose. Although hot, it's fuller than I expected.
Finish: Medium length, with aromas of apple, sugar, bitter and oak, with a warm, dry finish.
Overall: The Irishman Founder's Reserve is a sweet-spicy, warm expression that is 1-2 steps ahead of the overall look of a youthful Irish blend.
The first impressions it created on me, especially on the nose and palate, were very positive. Its negative aspects are the loss of the effect of aromas with the ventilation of the glass and the decreasing balance.
