Tullamore DEW 12 Special Reserve, released exclusively for Travel Retail by Tullamore DEW distillery, is produced by blending malt and grain whiskeys matured in bourbon and Oloroso sherry barrels, the youngest of which is 12 years old.

Tullamore DEW 12 Special Reserve (Irish Blend, 40% abv)

Nose: Honey and oak in addition to fruity notes such as grape and strawberry. It creates a creamy feel.

Palate: Sweet aromas predominate on the palate as on the nose. Dried fruits, honey and chocolate are accompanied by spicy aromas. Body and creamy in texture.

Finish: Medium length. Hazelnut and oak in addition to fruity aromas.

Overall: Standard Expression of the Special Reserve 12 expression of the brand original and Phoenix I had the opportunity to taste it. I think Phoenix has a special place among these 3, so let's keep it separate.

When we compare Special Reserve 12 with Original, I can say that Special Reserve is a slightly more layered and bodied whiskey. But if we evaluate it in terms of price-performance, I must state that I can prefer the Original to the Special Reserve 12.
