Writers Tears Copper Pot is an Irish blend from the Walsh distillery, with Single Pot Still, Single Malt and grain whiskeys without year mark. Expression, which is produced by distillation 3 times like many Irish whiskeys, is matured in American oak barrels and then bottled at an alcohol level of 40 degrees.

Writers Tears Copper Pot (Blended, %40 abv)

Nose: Notes of apple, peach, citrus and honey are accompanied by light sweet spices, vanilla and oak. It looks very fruity and soft.

Palate: Vanilla, apple, honey, citrus, peach, malt, oak and ginger. It is spicy and hot on the palate compared to the nose. However, it is easy to drink as if diluted with water.

Finish: A medium length warm finish with brown sugar, ginger and oak.

My Comments: Writers Tears Copper Pot is an easy-drinking, heartwarming Irish with a distinctly fruity and slightly spicy character.
