From the heart of Speyside, Glen Moray has stepped outside its traditionally smooth and fruity style to release its very first fully peated 12-year-old single malt. Named “Smoky Twelve” and now a permanent member of the distillery’s Heritage range, this expression adds gentle campfire smoke and soft peat to the distillery’s signature character. Matured in a combination of American and European oak casks, it is bottled at 46.3% ABV without chill filtration.

Nose: Gentle campfire smoke and sweet peat intertwine with Glen Moray’s typical ripe fruit profile. Butter shortbread, treacle, caramelised apple and apricot are complemented by soft vanilla and subtle spice notes. A balanced, inviting, and elegant smoky profile.

Palate: Silky in texture and well-balanced. Soft peat aromas merge with cask-driven vanilla, oak spice, and a hint of cinnamon. Baked plums, apple purée, short bursts of sweet biscuit, and caramel nuances fill the palate. The smoke stays in the background, harmonising beautifully with the sweet fruit notes.

Finish: Medium-long. Burnt biscuit, gentle cinnamon, oak tannins, and buttery vanilla fudge transition smoothly from sweet fruit nuances to smoky embers.
