Caol Ila’ın 9 yıllık bu şişesi The Whisky Exchange’in bu yıl yapılan Whisky Show London’da lansmanını yaptığı The Seasons koleksiyonun Autumn serisinde yer alıyor. Yılın farklı mevsimlerinden ilham alınarak yaratılan The Seasons koleksiyonu için farklı mevsimlerini temsilen özel viskiler seçilmiş. Koleksiyonun Autumn serisinde ise Caol Ila’nın 9 yıllığı ile beraber 17 yıllık bir Ledaig ve 12 yıllık bir Dailuaine de bulunuyor.

9 yıl ilk dolum Bourbon fıçılarda olgunlaştırıldıktan sonra %52,1 dereceyle şişelenen Caol Ila 2014 – 9 Year Old The Seasons: Autumn, burunda pişmiş elma, ananas, badem, tuzlu karamel, üzüm, ıslak toprak, mantar ve yoğun is, damakta ise elma, tuzlu karamel, biber, yoğun is ve ilaçsı nüanslar sunuyor. This 9-year-old Caol Ila is part of The Seasons collection’s Autumn release, launched by The Whisky Exchange at this year’s Whisky Show London. Inspired by the different seasons of the year, The Seasons collection features specially selected whiskies representing each season. Alongside this 9-year-old Caol Ila, the Autumn series also includes a 17-year-old Ledaig and a 12-year-old Dailuaine.

After maturing for 9 years in first-fill bourbon barrels, the Caol Ila 2014 – 9 Year Old The Seasons: Autumn was bottled at 52.1% ABV. On the nose, it offers notes of baked apple, pineapple, almond, salted caramel, grape, damp earth, mushroom, and intense smoke. The palate delivers flavors of apple, salted caramel, pepper, intense smoke, and medicinal nuances. This is one of the most complex whiskies I’ve tasted this year. (Rating: 88)
