Cotswolds Harvest Series Flaxen Vale is the newest addition to Cotswolds’s celebrated Harvest Series. This limited-release single malt is the embodiment of the Cotswolds landscape, expertly crafted from a harmonious blend of sherry and peated casks. This non-age statement release bottled at 53.9% abv with natural colour and has been non-chill filtered.

Each bottle of the Harvest Series bears the mark of a talented artist, paying tribute to the allure of the Cotswolds through the fusion of painting and whisky blending. This year’s masterpiece showcases the enchanting work of Cotswolds-based artist Annabel Playfair.

Cotswolds Harvest Series Flaxen Vale (English Single Malt Whisky, 53.9% abv)

Nose: Starts fruity with purple grape, peach, lime and apple. Followed by more sweetness with caramel, chocolate while offering some woody, leathery and earthy notes. Quite complex yet elegant.

Palate: Red fruits, citrus, caramel, hazelnut and charred oak. Oakier than the nose. Juicy texture.

Finish: Medium long finish with oak spices, citrus and hazelnut.

Another interesting release from Cotswolds distillery. The nose is incredibly complex nose while palate offers a juicy texture with more oak character. I wished to see more complexity at the palate and finish. Very good dram.

Cotswolds Harvest Series Flaxen Vale özellikle burunda oldukça kompleks bulduğum bir viski. Damakta ve bitişte bu kompleks karakteri pek göstermese de damağı sıvayan yapısıyla keyif veren bir viski.
