Genel Yorumum: Amber Meadows, Harvest serisinin diğer üyeleri gibi beni fazlasıyla tatmin eden bir ekspresyon oldu. Cotswolds’un alışık olduğumu zarif meyve karakteri Moscatel fıçıların da yardımıyla daha da dolgun bir görüntüye bürünmüş. Burundaki kompleks tatlılık ve damakta canlı ve kremamsı yapı çok başarılı.

The third release in the English distillery Cotswolds’ Harvest Series, Amber Meadows has been matured in a combination of Bourbon and Moscatel casks. The label, designed by local artist Lucy Pratt, draws inspiration from the stunning natural beauty of the Cotswolds. This limited-edition expression is bottled at 51.6% ABV, non-chill filtered and with its natural colour.

Nose: Elegant and fruity, with notes of peach, dried apricot, mango, apple, and vanilla. These are followed by richer, sweeter undertones of caramel, mulberry jam, and white chocolate. In the background, subtle hints of oak, cinnamon, and clove.

Palate: Just like on the nose, the palate delivers a full-bodied wave of fruit: peach, dried apricot, mango, apple, and caramel. It’s mouthwatering, with a vibrant sweetness and a creamy texture that coats the mouth. Fruity notes are balanced by cinnamon, oak, and hazelnut.

Finish: Medium-long, with lingering notes of oak, cinnamon, dried apricot, and a nutty touch.

Overall Impression: Like the previous releases in the Harvest Series, Amber Meadows is an expression that I found thoroughly satisfying. The elegant fruit character I’ve come to expect from Cotswolds is enhanced here by the Moscatel cask influence, adding richness and depth. The sweet complexity on the nose and the lively, creamy texture on the palate are particularly impressive.
